MLAX: Wildcats Suffer a Big Loss at Goucher

 TOWSON, M.D.  - The SUNY Poly Wildcats suffered a big loss on Sunday at the hands of the Goucher Gophers 21-4. The Wildcats were simply out gunned in the game, going down 10-1 in the first half. The Gophers went 9-10 on man up opportunities in the game while the Wildcats went just 2-6.
 Andrew Wurz (Utica, N.Y. / Notre Dame Jr./Sr. HS) scored two goals for the Wildcats in the game. He put all four of his shots on goal. Wurz also grabbed two ground balls in the game.
The differential in penalty minutes gave the Wildcats the disadvantage. The Gophers had seven
penalties totaling six minutes, while the Wildcats had 12 penalties totaling 12:30. This gave Goucher 10 man up opportunities, nine of which they capitalized on.
 
The Wildcats will return to action on Wednesday when they will travel across town to take on local rival Utica College. The game is scheduled for a 4:00 start at Charles A. Gartano Stadium on the campus of Utica College.
