MLAX: SUNY Poly Falls to Oswego St. 14-4.

OSWEGO, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats fell to the Oswego St. Lakers on Saturday 14-4. The Wildcats went down big in the first half, scoring just one goal compared to the 10 by the Lakers. The team showed some life in the third quarter but it was too little too late against a very talented Oswego team.

For the Wildcats Connor Elsenbeck (Clinton, N.Y. / Clinton HS) led the way offensively with two goals. The first, in the second quarter, came off an assist from Neil Nembhard (Commack, N.Y. / Commack HS), and the second came off a dish from Nick Levanti (Clayville, N.Y. / New Hartford HS) in the third with 2:47 remaining. Elsenbeck finished with three shots on goal on four attempts and one ground ball. Nembhard finished with a goal, an assist, and two ground balls. Levanti put four of his six shots on goal and scooped up a ground ball.

For the Lakers, Luke Krizman and Ryan Jelen had three goals each. Tim Garrett had a game high nine ground ball. The Lakers as a team took 41 shots, landing 25 on goal.
