WELLS, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Men's Lacrosse Team (3-6, 1-3 NEAC) used five fourth quarter goals to pick up their first conference win over Wells (1-6, 0-4 NEAC) on Saturday evening.

One of those goals came from Andrew Wurz (Utica, N.Y. / Notre Dame) off a Andre Shattell (Syracuse, N.Y. / Henniger High School) feed with 20 seconds left in the game, proving to be the game-winner for the Wildcats.

SUNY Poly didn't get on the board until 4:57 left in the first quarter when Shane Joswick (New York Mills, N.Y. / MVCC) scored unassisted to cut the lead to 2-1. That score would hold going into the first break; Nicholas Levanti (New Hartford, N.Y. / New Hartford) opened up the scoring in the second quarter to even things at 2-2 for the Wildcats. SUNY Poly got the best of Wells in the second quarter scoring four to the Express' two to hold a 5-4 lead at halftime.

Neil Nembhard (Commack, N.Y. / Commack) started the third quarter with back-to-back goals to give the Wildcats a 7-4 advantage. Wells would close out the stanza with four straight to go up 8-7 going into the fourth.

Wurz and Nembhard got the first say in the fourth quarter to lead 9-8 but the Express answered back with two of their own to go up by one. The Wildcats put together another two-goal string ending at 1:32, one of which coming from a Joswick feed to a Levanti finish in a man-up situation. Wells answered 20 seconds later to tie things at 11-11.
