MBB: Twelve Wildcats Score in 98-57 Win Over Vermont State Lyndon.

UTICA, N.Y. -  The SUNY Poly men's defeated basketball team defeated Vermont State Lyndon in a North Atlantic Conference matchup on Friday afternoon. Twelve different Wildcats scored in the game, led by Cheickne Toure who continued his impressive season by scoring 16 points. With the win, the Wildcats move to 9-7 on the season and 4-1 in NAC play.

 

HOW IT HAPPENED: An Anthony Rose layup opened the scoring for the Wildcats, and they wouldn't look back as they led the entire game on Friday afternoon. The Wildcats ran out to a 10-0 lead which they continued to build on the rest of the game. The Wildcats shot an impressive 47.8% from 3PT range, going 11-23 in the game.

The Wildcats scored an impressive 53 points off the bench, including double-digit efforts from Elijah Smith, Kamryn Comstock and Dylan Ernst. David Danon also recorded his first career points, while also grabbing two rebounds, two steals, and one block.

The 98 points were the most that the Wildcats have scored so far in the 2023-24 season.
