MBB: Wildcats Defeat Keuka Behind Incredible Game From Anthony Rose.

OSWEGO, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's basketball team won their second game of the Max Ziel Tournament hosted by SUNY Oswego on Saturday afternoon with an 85-73 victory over Keuka College. The Wildcats were led by Anthony Rose who had a career-high 34 points. With the win, the Wildcats move to 1-1 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Anthony Rose would get the scoring going for the Wildcats and would continue to score in bunches as he led all scores on Saturday afternoon. With 14 minutes in the first half with the game tied at 11, Cheickne Toure would continue his great start to his junior season by knocking down a three-pointer to give the Wildcats a 14-11 lead. Brandon Holmes would then complete the old-fashioned three-point play, sinking a free-throw after getting fouled on a fastbreak layup to extend the Wildcats lead to 17-11. The Wildcats would continue to lead the rest of the half, minimizing runs from the Wolves, and would take a 48-34 lead into halftime. Rose would have 20 first-half points.

In the second half, the Wildcats would continue their strong offensive day, getting a strong performance from Josh Ernst to maintain their first-half lead. The Wolves would cut it to a five-point lead with 9:30 left to play on a layup from Ezeke Pulliam. The Wildcats would continue to answer, however, and would hold on for an 85-73 win.
