MBB: Wildcats Take Down Lions 72-68 to Improve to 13-2 in Conference Play.

BRYN ATHYN, PA. – The SUNY Poly men's basketball team beat Bryn Athyn on Saturday in a nail biter 72-68. The win puts the Wildcats at 13-2 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC)

The lead changed hands nine times in the game with the Wildcats ultimately coming out on top thanks to a monster day in the paint by Kevin Williams (Brooklyn, N.Y.) who scored a game high 26 points and had an impressive 18 rebounds. The double-double was his seventh of the season.

Quayshaun Mitchell (Harlem, N.Y.) had a solid game for the Cats'.  The senior had 12 points, seven of which came from the charity stripe. He also went 1-1 from three and had seven rebounds, an assist, ans a steal.

Rounding out the double digit scorers for the Wildcats were Peyton Griffiths (Milford, N.Y.) with 11 points and Terrynce Wilson (Bronx, N.Y.) with 10 points.

For Bryn Athyn, Austin Nyekan had a team high 14 points, five rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Stephan Tucker had 12 points, a team high seven rebounds, a game high three steals, a game high three blocks, and two assists.

The Wildcats are now 16-6 on the year and are 13-2 in the NEAC. The Wildcats will be back in action tomorrow whent they travel to Penn State Abington to take on the Nitany Lions. The game is scheduled for a 3:00 PM tip-off.
