GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – SUNY Poly's Quayshaun Mitchell (Harlem, N.Y.) has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of December 5th-11th after a fantastic two game stretch for the Wildcats.

An excerpt from the NEAC's press release announcing the Student Athletes of the Week can be seen below.

"Quayshaun Mitchell (Harlem, N.Y.) has been chosen as the NEAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week after an excellent set of performances for the SUNY Polytechnic institute Wildcats.  The senior forward averaged 26 points and 13.5 rebounds per game across a pair of contests for the Wildcats last week.  Mitchell was the leading scorer and rebounder in both games played, starting with 24 points and 14 rebounds in an 82-64 conference win over Cazenovia College last Wednesday, where he also added three assists, a steal and a block.  He then posted game highs of 28 points and 13 boards in a nonconference bout with Rochester Institute of Technology Saturday, leaving him fourth in the conference in rebounds at 9.6 per game.  The Wildcats improved to 3-1 in NEAC play and 4-3 overall."
