Wildcats Bounce Back with Big Win

MARCY, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly Men's Basketball Team (10-13, 9-6 NEAC) were able to bounce back from Friday's loss in a big way, taking down Penn St.-Berks (6-15, 6-9 NEAC) 73-52.

The Wildcats took momentum into halftime holding a 10 point lead at the break. They would go on to put the game away in the second half as they started on a 9-2 run on the way to sealing the 21 point victory. The hosts with a team effort on both ends of the floor holding Berks to just 32% shooting while shooting 44% from the field in the game

Senior Guard Maverick Hodge (Bronx, N.Y./ Samuel Gompers) led the way for the Wildcats recording 23 points in the game. While Freshmen Center Tyler Taverne(Westmoreland, N.Y./ Westmoreland) had a career day himself tallying 16 points on 7-14 shooting while grabbing 8 rebounds to lead the team. 

Penn St.-Berks was led by Dameon Nixon who recorded 14 points for the visitors.

The Wildcats are home again Friday February 20th as they host NEAC Rival Keuka College at 7:00 pm in the Campus Center.
