Help David Golembiowski Become an All-Star by Voting Now!

UTICA, NY – Help SUNYIT senior David Golembiowski (Barneveld, NY/Holland Patent) play in the 2011 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Reese's Division III College All-Star Game by voting for him on the poll posted on D3Hoops.com.

The NABC is allowing fans the opportunity to select one player for each of the two teams in this year's all-star game, and they will be able to choose from a list with the top player in each region whose team is not selected for the NCAA Tournament.  The voting began on the front page of D3hoops.com at 12:00 pm ET today and will run through 2:00 pm ET on Thursday, March 3, so make sure to vote now!

Golembiowski has had an incredible four-year run as a member of the SUNYIT men's basketball team, beginning his career by winning three Rookie of the Year awards and going on to become the program's all-time leader in career points, rebounds, blocks and 3-pointers made.  He was named the North Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year for the third straight season and also earned a third straight selection to the NEAC All-Conference First Team after leading the conference in both points and rebounds, while leading the Wildcats in points, rebounds, blocks and 3-pointers made.  Additionally, the 6-foot-7 forward is currently fifth in the nation in points per game (24.6), while being 15th in double-doubles (15), 17th in rebounds per game (11.2) and 23rd in blocks per game (2.4).

Golembiowski's remarkable season was recognized throughout the year with six Player of the Week selections, including three NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week awards, one ECAC Player of the Week award and two selections to the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week.

The Wildcats finished the season 14-11 overall and made an appearance in the NEAC Tournament semifinals.

Fans may cast one ballot to choose one player from among eight choices for the Division III East team. The two top vote-getters will be selected to play in the 2011 Reese's Division III College All-Star Game, which will be held prior to the NCAA Division III men's basketball national championship game at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va., on March 18.

The two players will be given spots on the All-Star team roster, along with two other seniors from each region and two seniors from teams eliminated in the national semifinals, for a total of 10 players per side.
