BASE: Wildcats Fall to Oneonta in Non-Conference Play.

ONEONTA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly baseball team lost to Oneonta on Wednesday 10-0 in non-conference play. The Wildcat offense could not get anything going against the Red Dragons. SUNY Poly had just six hits in the game while Oneonta plated ten runs on 13 hits. SUNY Poly is now 8-21 this season.

 

NOTABLES:

  • The Wildcats had six hits in the game, each by a different batter.

  • Bradley Dietz (Phoenix, N.Y.), Dean Natalizio (Greenville, N.Y.), Nick LaBella (Utica, N.Y.), Connor Loveless (Cato, N.Y.), Jacob VanBeber (Boonville, N.Y.), and Manuel Santiago (Albany, N.Y.) each had a hit in the game. Loveless drew the Wildcats only walk in the game.

  • Colin Nabinger (Afton, N.Y.) was on the losing end of the decision. He threw two innings, allowed three earned runs, and struck out a batter.

  • Oneonta had four batters with multiple hits in the game.

  • The Red Dragons also had three hitters with multiple RBIs in the game.

 

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will host SUNY Cobleskill in a three-game NEAC set. Games one and two will take place at Peter A. Spina Field on Saturday at 12:00 and 2:00 PM. Game three is scheduled for Sunday, April 28th at 12:00 PM. Sunday's game will be SUNY Poly's annual Senior Day where the Wildcat seniors will be honored in a ceremony before the game.
