BASE: Three Wildcats Earn All-Conference Honors. Passalacqua and Vyce 1st Team, Flint 2nd.

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2015-16 Baseball All-Conference Team selections. SUNY Poly had two players named to the first team and one named to the second team.

The First team selections for the Wildcats were Connor Passalacqua (Whitestown, N.Y.) and Tyler Vyce (Clifton Park, N.Y.).

Passalacqua had a great year at the plate, especially in NEAC play where he hit .415, slugged .512, and had a .569 on base percentage. Overall, Connor hit an impressive .371. He drove in 18 runs and hit eight doubles and a triple. Connor had the Wildcats highest average, second most RBIs, most walks, most stolen bases, and second most extra base hits. Connor also reached the 100 career hits mark this season making him just the fifth Wildcat to do so in the programs history.

Tyler Vyce had a breakout junior season for the Wildcats. Vyce had the most RBIs on his team by a long shot. His 33 RBIs were 13 more than the second highest. Vyce hit .333 and slugged .487 with an on base percentage of .397. Vyce led the team in extra base hits with 13 and had the most homeruns on the team with two. Vyce was also great in the field, garnering a .974 fielding percentage at 1st base.

The Wildcats also had a second team selection; Brett Flint (Amsterdam, N.Y.).

Brett had a great rookie season on the mound for the Wildcats. Brett went 5-1 with a 3.03 ERA. He pitched 38.2 innings and had 19 strikeouts. Brett's five wins were a team high and he had the second most complete games on the team with two. Brett worked his way into the number one spot in the pitching rotation this season and looks to have a very promising future with the Wildcats.
