GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – SUNY Poly's Sawyer Haney (Cooperstown, N.Y)has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Baseball Pitcher of the week for the week of February 29th - March 6th. An excerpt from the NEAC press release can be found below.

"Sawyer Haney (Cooperstown, N.Y.) has been chosen as the NEAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week after an outstanding performance for the SUNY Polytechnic Institute Wildcats.  The junior pitcher tossed a one-hit shutout to help the Wildcats preserve a 1-0 victory over Penn State Altoona in their season opener Saturday.  He also struck out three batters on the day, while only two of his six walks ended up reaching second base to minimize any scoring threats.  Haney totaled 100 pitches in the outing that included three innings of 13 pitches or less en route to winning the pitcher's duel with a spotless ERA."
