DANBURY, Conn. – SUNY Poly freshman Josh Rodriguez (Syracuse, N.Y. / Cicero-North Syracuse) was named the ECAC Division III Rookie of the Week for the Upstate region late Tuesday night.
The rookie third basemen has been tearing the cover off the ball in the early-goings for the Wildcats, and batted .600 over a four-game weekend, during which SUNY Poly went 3-1 against Gallaudet University and Lancaster Bible College.
Rodriguez is batting an even .500 on the year, which leads the NEAC conference.
