MARCY, N.Y. – SUNYIT senior outfielder Kevin Rowlands (New York Mills, N.Y. / Notre Dame) was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region 1^st Team on Monday after a terrific senior campaign for the Wildcats.

Rowlands, who finished the year with the second-highest batting average in the NEAC at .420, is the first SUNYIT selection to the ABCA All-Region 1^st Team since Chris Fratini and Dan Orza in 2010.

In addition to Rowlands, SUNYIT junior pitcher Joseph Redmond (Stone Ridge, N.Y. / Rondout Valley H.S.) was also recognized by the ABCA, taking home All-Region 2^nd Team honors on Monday. Earlier the same day, Redmond received another All-Region honor, making the D3baseball.com All-Region 2^nd Team.
