Paul Ludden enters his first season as the Head Coach for SUNY Poly Baseball in 2022-23. In his role at SUNY Poly, Paul will also serve as the Assistant Sports Information Director. Paul was most recently the Head Baseball Coach at Cazenovia College.  

Ludden played for Cicero-North Syracuse High School from 2011-2013. After graduating from CNS, he would go on to play two seasons at Clarkson University, where he started 36 games as a catcher. Ludden transferred to SUNY Brockport in 2015. He made an immediate impact for the Golden Eagles starting 77 games from 2015-2017. In his career at Brockport, Ludden recorded a .338 batting average with 94 hits and 55 RBIs. His successful collegiate career led him to professional baseball where he played in the PECOS League for the Alpine Cowboys and in the American Association for the Cleburne Railroaders. 

At the conclusion of his professional career, Ludden went back to his roots at SUNY Brockport. He re-joined his alma mater as an assistant coach from 2017-2018. He spent his time at Brockport working specifically with catchers and hitters. Ludden was hired as the head assistant coach for Onondaga Community College in 2018. From 2018-2020, Ludden did a bit of everything for the Blazers. He coached third base, developed practice plans, and assisted in recruiting. In the fall of 2020, Ludden got his first collegiate head coaching opportunity at Cazenovia College. In his first year as Head Coach, he helped the Wildcats double their win total from the previous season. Two of his players earned All-Conference honors. In 2022, his final season at Cazenovia, Ludden coached three All-Conference players.  

In the summer of 2022, Coach Ludden took over as the Head Coach for the Syracuse Spartans in the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) He took his team to the NYCBL Eastern Division Finals for the first time since 2017 after leading his team to a second-place finish in their division.  

Paul received his bachelor's degree In Physical Education K-12 at SUNY Brockport. He then went on to complete his master's degree in Physical Education Pedagogy at SUNY Brockport.
