Title: Women's Lacrosse Faculty Mentor

I am a clinical assistant professor in the department of nursing in the College of Health Sciences. Recruited in 2007, as a master’s prepared family nurse practitioner, I have been teaching nursing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, while continuing to practice part time as an FNP. Over the last 11 years, in addition to teaching I have been directly involved in the creation of several courses, and the redesign of many others. I also serve as the faculty sponsor for the Nursing Club.

I am pursuing my doctorate from the University at Albany/SUNY, in Curriculum and Instruction. My area of research centers on exploring innovation in nursing education. I recently retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the US Air Force/New York Air National Guard, after 22 total years of service, I believe I have internalized the Air Force core values of: “Integrity first, Service before self, and Excellence in all we do”.
