MARCY, N.Y. - SUNY Poly Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Paul Ludden as Head Baseball Coach for the Wildcats. Ludden comes to SUNY Poly from Cazenovia College where he was the Head Baseball Coach for three seasons. In his role at SUNY Poly, Paul will also serve as the Assistant for Sports Communications. Paul is the fourth Head Baseball Coach in the history of SUNY Poly.

"Paul stood out to us from a competitive pool of candidates in our search with his enthusiasm, passion for baseball, desire to ensure a positive student-athlete experience, his creativity, his strong work ethic, his experiences with NAC baseball, and his ability to manage elements of sports communications. I believe that Paul can help take our program to the next level, and I look forward to seeing that develop!"
Ludden started his coaching journey at SUNY Brockport as an Assistant Coach working specifically with catchers and hitters. After his time at Brockport, Ludden was hired as the head assistant coach for Onondaga Community College. From 2018-2020, Ludden did a bit of everything for the Blazers. He coached third base, developed practice plans, and assisted in recruiting. In the fall of 2020, Ludden got his first collegiate head coaching opportunity at Cazenovia College. In his first year as Head Coach, he helped the Wildcats double their win total from the previous season.
In the summer of 2022, Coach Ludden took over as the Head Coach for the Syracuse Spartans in the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL). He took his team to the NYCBL Eastern Division Finals for the first time since 2017 after leading his team to a second-place finish in their division.
Paul received his bachelor's degree In Physical Education K-12 at SUNY Brockport. He also has a master's degree in Physical Education Pedagogy from SUNY Brockport.
