GENEVA, N.Y. – The SUNYIT Women's Cross Country Team competed well against a stacked field at the CCOC Championship at Seneca Lake Park, N.Y. on Saturday.
Carli Rogan (Colonie, N.Y. / Colonie Central) continued to lead the team, finishing in 66th place with a time of 24:16.73, and Lyndsey Brognano (Rome, N.Y. / RFA) – in what will most likely be her final race as the three-sport star turns her focus to basketball – followed Rogan up in 78th place with a time of 24:53.38.
Not to be left out, Caitlin Cottell (Eatontown, N.J. / Red Bank Catholic) continued her meteoric rise up the ranks – after posting a PR (personal record) in last week's meet, Cottell finished the 5k race in just over 26 minutes.
The Wildcats will enjoy a weekend off before traveling to Penn St.-Abington for the NEAC Championships on Saturday, October 27th at 11:00 am. Stay tuned to the women's cross country webpage for details on the event.
