WVB: Wildcats Beaten Twice in Final NAC Tri-match of the Season.

UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's volleyball lost both matches of their NAC tri-match on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to Cobleskill and 3-1 to Delhi. The Wildcats are now 0-24 this season with an 0-7 record in NAC play.

 

MATCH #1:

SUNY Cobleskill – 3

SUNY Poly – 0

(25-20, 25-20, 25-19)

 

SUNY Cobleskill's outside hitter, Alexis Miranda, led the team with 13 kills and a hitting percentage of .233. Abigail Scheurich added eight kills, while Kelley Miller chipped in with five. Setter Jade Ward distributed the ball effectively, tallying 13 assists and one service ace. Libero Mackenzie Larson led the team with 18 digs and five service aces.

 

For SUNY Poly, outside hitter Molly Burdick had a team-high five kills and one block assist. Sabrina Trimblett added four kills, while Michaela Bradshaw contributed three kills and 11 assists. Madison Bastien had a team-high seven digs, and Meghan Peek tallied 11 digs.

 

SUNY Cobleskill dominated in all statistical categories, outscoring SUNY Poly 44-30 in total points and 19-11 in service aces. The Fighting Tigers also recorded four total blocks compared to the Wildcats' zero.

 

MATCH #2:

SUNY Delhil – 3

SUNY Poly – 1

(25-15, 25-22, 18-25, 25-11)

 

Sage Renneisen led the SUNY Delhi attack with 17 kills on 41 attempts for a hitting percentage of .293. Katelyn Babcock contributed 10 kills on 29 attempts for a hitting percentage of .310, while Stephanie Burke added 14 kills on 38 attempts for a hitting percentage of .237. Jaiden Venute provided excellent setting for SUNY Delhi with 41 assists, and Chloe Elsenbeck served well with three aces. Defensively, Burke and Venute each had one block assist, while Genea Kadlubowski had two block assists.

 

For SUNY Poly, Emma Draper led the team with 11 kills on 26 attempts for a hitting percentage of .231. Molly Burdick and Brooke Durfee also had strong offensive performances, with Burdick contributing seven kills and two block assists, and Durfee adding seven kills and two block assists as well. Michaela Bradshaw had 30 assists, while Meghan Peek had 21 digs to lead the SUNY Poly defense.
