WVB: Wildcats Lose to Cazenovia in Four Sets.

 CAZENOVIA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team lost to Cazenovia in four sets in a North Atlantic Conference match. Cazenovia started strong by winning the first two sets 25-22 and 25-21 respectively. SUNY Poly bounced back in the third set, winning it 25-18 to extend the match. However, Cazenovia regained control in the fourth set, winning it 25-21 to secure the victory.

 

SUNY Poly's Michaela Bradshaw had a good all-around performance, recording four kills, 17 assists, five service aces, and 10 digs. Ryan Fitzgerald led SUNY Poly in kills with seven and also had 14 digs. Sabrina Trimblett and Brooke Durfee contributed five and six kills respectively. However, SUNY Poly struggled with consistency, committing 16 errors and finishing with a .133 hitting percentage.

 

Cazenovia's Taryn Anderson had a dominant performance, recording 16 kills with a .333 hitting percentage, eight service aces, and 19 assists. Karissa Decosse added 13 kills and 14 digs, while Sophia Ferris and Michaela Meyer contributed seven and five kills respectively. Aubriana Boyce led Cazenovia in assists with 14. Cazenovia finished with a .113 hitting percentage, but their strong serving, which included 18 service aces, was the difference in the match.
