WATERVILLE, Maine - SUNY Poly's Sydney Pellman earned a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) weekly award this week for women's volleyball. Pellman was named the Defensive Player of the Week. The award is the first for the SUNY Poly women's volleyball team this season.

Sydney Pellman was the defensive leader for the Wildcats in their 2-1 week. Playing libero in three conference matches, she recorded 58 total digs to average 4.83 digs per match. On Thursday, she tallied a team-high 17 digs, one kill, and one service ace in a loss to SUNY Delhi. On Saturday against Cazenovia, Pellman tallied another team-high of 23 digs, as well as three assists and a service ace. Facing SUNY Canton the same afternoon, the junior recorded a match-high 18 digs, as well as five assists, two service aces, and a kill.
