MARCY, N.Y. - The SUYN Poly women's volleyball team (3-6, 1-1NEAC) lost to Wells College (6-4, 2-0 NEAC) on Friday in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) match. The final score of the match was 3-1 in favor of the Wells Express 25-20, 17-25, 25-17, 29-27. The match was a thriller, especially the fourth set in which the lead changed hands three times.

The Express defense was simply too good to overcome down the stretch. Wells senior Anuhea Leite-Ah Yo was a dig machine, racking up a match high 24. The Wildcats just could not beat Leite-Ah Yo who seemed to be everywhere at once, spoiling great attacks by the Wildcat offense. Leit-Ah Yo finished the match with five kills and four assists playing both libero and outside hitter in the match.

SUNY Poly's Makayla Hulett (Colonie, N.Y.) set a new career high in the match with 14 kills. The freshman hit .220 on the attack and had three digs in the match.

Setter Sydney Johnson (Nine Mile Falls, Wash.) was her usual self, racking up 33 assists and threfe crafty kills on five attempts. Johnson also had 12 digs in the match.

Charlotte Rutnik (Glenmont, N.Y.) led the Wildcats in both digs with 13, and service aces with two. The freshman, who is typically just a service weapon for the Wildcats, saw some action at the libero position today and performed well.

Megan Will (Remsen, N.Y.) added 10 kills to her season total in the match. The junior also had a part in the Wildcats lone block in the match.

Karlie King (Liverpool, N.Y.) had 12 kills, bringing her season total to 66. She currently leads the Wildcats and is tied for ninth in the NEAC.
