UTICA, NY – For the second straight week and ninth time in her career, junior Juleah Vedder (Dolgeville, NY/Dolgeville) has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending September 19.

Vedder earned the award for her incredible performance against Hamilton College this past Tuesday, helping SUNYIT erase a 2-1 deficit and pick up a 3-2 (17-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-22, 15-6) victory.  The 6-foot outside hitter had a monster double-double of 23 kills and 28 digs to go along with three total blocks and one serve ace in the win.

Vedder currently leads the team in kills (115) and digs (112) this season while also registering eight serve aces and five total blocks on the year thus far.

The Wildcats will be back in action this weekend when they travel to SUNY Cobleskill for NEAC pool play.  They will first take on Cobleskill at 3:00 pm and Morrisville at 5:00 pm on Friday before squaring off against Keuka at 10:00 am and Cazenovia at 12:00 pm on Saturday.
