WSOC: Pair of Goals by Shipley and a Clean Sheet by Bowers Lead Wildcats to a 3-0 Win at Eastern Nazarene.

NORTH QUINCY, Mass. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team earned a commanding 3-0 victory against Eastern Nazarene. The Wildcats took control early and never looked back, improving their season record to 3-5-1 overall and securing a solid 2-1-0 standing in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC).

 

In the first half, Caroline Entwistle, assisted by Hannah Shipley and Kate Donnelly, struck the back of the net at the 11:03 mark, setting the tone for the game. SUNY Poly's offense continued to press, with several scoring opportunities kept at bay by Eastern Nazarene's goalkeeper, Sabrina Nassar.

 

The Wildcats maintained their offensive intensity in the second half. Hannah Shipley found the back of the net at 52:51 assisted by Caroline Entwistle, further extending SUNY Poly's lead. Just five minutes later, Shipley struck again, this time assisted by Brooke Bush. The goal was Shipley's second goal of the game and her fifth this week.

 

Goalkeeper Katie Bowers anchored SUNY Poly's defense, tallying five saves and securing a clean sheet.

The Wildcats will travel to Presque Isle, Maine on Saturday, October 7th for the first of two NAC cross-division games. The Wildcats will face the Owls of UMPI on Saturday at 12:00 PM and will play Husson on Sunday at 12:00 PM.
