WSOC: Wildcats Fall to ESF 4-1 at Home.

 

UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team lost to SUNY ESF on Saturday afternoon 4-1. The SUNY ESF Mighty Oaks put up four unanswered goals to take a commanding lead. The Wildcats scored a goal late, but it was too late to mount a comeback. The Wildcats are now 1-1 this season.

 

The lone goal scorer for the Wildcats was Amanda Sweet who scored in the 88th minute. Her goal was assisted by Hannah Shipley.

 

Three players scored for the Mighty Oaks in the win. Ryan Hesh had two goals, one in the 2nd minute and one in the 50th minute. Nadia White and Jenna Canipe also scored for ESF.

 

Katie Bowers made five saves in goal for the Wildcats in 66 minutes played. She was tagged with her first loss of the season. Isabelle Chavoustie was the winning goalkeeper for ESF. She made six saves.

 

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will host Utica University on Wednesday, September 6th. The game is scheduled for a 6:00 PM start at Wildcat Field.
