WSOC: Wildcats Come Up Short at Home.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team lost to the University of Maine-Presque Isle Owls on Sunday 1-0. The game was determined by a goal in the 48th minute by UMPI's Zhoreen Malik who scored the only goal of the game in the 48th minute. The Wildcats are now 2-6 this year with a 1-2 record in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play. 

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: 

  • Katie Bowers recorded six saves in the game, but was tagged with the loss in goal. She is now 1-2 this season. 

  • Zhoreen Malik scored the goal for the Owls in the 48th minute off an assist by Monica McLaughlin. 

  • The Wildcats took 13 shots in the game, placing seven of them on goal. 

  • Savannah Rodriguez earned the Win in goal for Presque Isle. She recorded seven saves to earn the shutout.

 

UP NEXT: 

The Wildcats will take on the SUNY Canton Kangaroos on Sunday, October 2nd. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 PM start at SUNY Canton.
