Women’s Soccer Falls in Conference Road Contests

READING, Pa. – The Wildcats fell to the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College on Saturday and the Penn St-Berks Nittany Lions on Sunday, each by a score of 5-0. A key injury earlier in the week made things difficult for SUNY Poly (7-9-1, 6-4 NEAC), who already had their work cut out for them going up against two of the conference's stronger teams.

On Saturday the Chargers improved to 8-2 in conference with a barrage of scoring in the second half. An Alyssa Wesner goal in the 4th minute was all the home team could muster in the first half, but 4 second half goals put things out of reach for the Wildcats.

Lancaster out shot SUNY Poly 30 to 3 in the game. Alexa Yousey made 12 saves for the Wildcats in defeat.

In Sunday's game Yousey would up that total to 14, however a lopsided shot chart again proved fatal for SUNY Poly, as the Nittany Lions finished the game with a 26 to 3 advantage in that category.

Once again the Wildcats were able to hold their opponent to just one goal in the first half before surrendering four in the second half. Dana Sarcinello led the charge for the home team, recording a hat-trick in the second half in just an 11-minute stretch from 60:27 to 71:41.

The Wildcats will look to get back on track with another NEAC contest this Wednesday. They will travel to Morrisville State for a 4:00 pm matchup.
