Strang Named Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after Record-Tying Performance

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – On Tuesday SUNY Poly senior and leading scorer Kristina Strang (Rotterdam, N.Y. / Schalmont) earned her first NEAC Player of the Week Award for the 2014 season with a stellar week for the Wildcats. Below is an excerpt from the NEAC Player of the Week press release:

Kristina Strang (Rotterdam, N.Y.) has been chosen as the NEAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after a terrific outing for the SUNYIT Wildcats.  The senior had a nine-point effort to lead the Wildcats to a win over Gallaudet Sunday, as she scored four goals and assisted on another in the 7-0 conference victory.  The performance gave Strang 10 goals for the season and left her tied for SUNYIT's all-time career goals mark at 33 with five games still left on this year's schedule.  The win improved the Wildcats to 6-2 in the NEAC.
