Tough Trip as Women’s Soccer Comes Up Empty in Pennsylvania

READING, PA – The Women's Soccer Team (4-5-0, 3-2-0 NEAC) concluded a difficult road trip on Sunday with a 5-0 loss to host Penn St.-Berks. The talented Nittany Lions improved to 6-0 in conference with the win on Sunday, but the Wildcats remain very much in the hunt at 3-2 and tied for fifth in the NEAC with Keuka.

The trip began on Saturday with a loss at Penn St.-Abington, 3-0. The Wildcats fell behind in the 11th minute after a header by Alyssa Kaye, and with the Wildcats unable to muster up enough offense the score proved to be a game winner.

SUNYIT keeper Aubrey Campbell (Auburn, N.Y. / Auburn) held her own with 9 saves on the day, as P.S.-
Abington held a 19 to 6 shot advantage over the Wildcats.

SUNYIT will look to rebound with a pair of home matches as part of Wildcat Weekend this Saturday and Sunday. Both games are scheduled for noon, with SUNYIT hosting Penn St.-Harrisburg on Saturday and Gallaudet on Sunday.
