Canton, N.Y - The SUNY Poly women's lacrosse teams season has come to an end, following a 16-3 loss against the top seeded SUNY Canton Kangaroos. Katie Kopcza, Madison Bastien and Callie Johnson were the lone goal scorers for the Wildcats. Goalie Jayden Brown stopped 17 of the Kangaroos 33 shots on net. The Wildcats wrap up their season with a 6-9 record.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

SUNY Canton got on the board early and never looked back, scoring eight unanswered goals in the first half. Mustangs regular season point leader Maddy Carron led the charge, scoring four of the eight goals.

The Wildcats got on the board in the second, thanks to Katie Kopcza. SUNY Canton would quickly respond, scoring the next four goals to help the Kangaroos build a 12-1 lead by the end of the third quarter.

Callie Johnson and Madison Bastien would each score a goal in the fourth quarter, but the Kangaroos would ultimately win the game by a score of 16-3.
