WBB: Wildcats Beat Delhi by 39 in NAC Play. 

DELHI, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team improved to 7-10 on Friday night with a dominant win over SUNY Delhi in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play. The Wildcats got off on the right foot, taking a nine-point lead in the first quarter 24-15. In the second quarter, the SUNY Poly defense held the Broncos scoreless to grow their lead to 22 points. The 'Cats would cruise for the last 20 minutes, securing the win by a score of 74-35. The Wildcats are now 5-3 in NAC play.  

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:  

  • Molly Burdick had a 31-point, 12-rebound double-double with five assists and three steals. She is now 17 points shy of tying the all-time scoring record at SUNY Poly (1,731). 

  • Lyrik Jackson had 16 points for the Wildcats with three assists, a steal, and a pair of rebounds. 

  • Patricia Vanlue had a game-high and career-high 20 rebounds for the Wildcats. She also had a steal, a block, an assist, and a pair of points in 31 minutes.  

  • Aniya Jones had a team-high 11 points and eight rebounds for the Broncos.  

  • Angelica Lazo scored 10 points for Delhi. She also had three rebounds, two steals, and two assists.

The Wildcats will travel to Cobleskill for the second leg of their NAC West Division road trip. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 tip-off.
