WBB: Wildcats Dominate Cazenovia In NAC Play.

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team traveled to Cazenovia on Tuesday for a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matchup. The game was a tale of two halves with the two teams playing a relatively tight 33-27 first half. In the second half, the wheels fell off for Cazenovia who were outscored 39-11 in the second. Poly would go on to win the game by a final score of 72-38 to improve to 6-10 this season with a 4-3 record in NAC play.

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

  • Molly Burdick had an incredible game for the Wildcats. She scored a game-high 22 points with a game-high 117 rebounds to record her 12th double-double of the season. Molly also had a game-high eight assists, a game-high three steals, and a block in the game. Molly now has 1683 career points. She needs just 48 points to break the all-time scoring record at SUNY Poly.
  • Lyrik Jackson had a 21-point, 11-rebound double-double for SUNY Poly. The senior also had six assists and a block.
  • Kelsey Meca scored 11 points from SUNY Poly, knocking down a game-high three 3-pointers. She also had four rebounds, a pair of steals, and a block.
  • Patricia Vanlue recorded her fourth consecutive game with 12 or more rebounds for the Wildcats. She also scored four points, dished out a pair of assists, had a steal, and had a block.
  • Jessica Harris had a team-high 12 points for Cazenovia. She also had six rebounds, an assist, and a steal off the bench.
  • Sydney Burk had 11 points, three rebounds, two assists, and a steal for Cazenovia.

 

UP NEXT:

On Friday, the Wildcats will travel to SUNY Delhi to take on the Broncos in NAC play. The game is scheduled for a 5:30 tip-off.
