WBB: Wildcats Beaten on the Road by Morrisville.

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team lost to Morrisville State on Wednesday 65-49 in non-conference play. The Wildcats and the Mustangs were tied through the first half, but a strong finish by Morrisville saw the Mustangs outscore SUNY Poly 41-25 in the second half to earn the win. The Wildcats are now 1-2 this season.

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

  • Molly Burdick led the Wildcats with a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double. She also had a game-high three steals and three assists.
  • Abby Vandewalker led the Mustangs with a game-high 18 points. She shot 60% from the field, knocking down six 3-pointers.
  • Dezia Becker had 17 points and three assists for Morrisville.
  • Lauren Denny scored 10 points for the Wildcats. She also had four rebounds, two steals, and an assist.
  • Lyrik Jackson and Kelsey Meca had nine and eight points respectively for SUNY Poly.

 

UP NEXT:

The Wildcats will travel to Cortland on Tuesday, November 22nd to take on the Red Dragons in non-conference play. The game is scheduled for a 5:30 PM tip-off at Cortland's Whitney T. Corey Gymnasium.
