MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team improved to 3-0 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play with a 30 point win over Cazenovia 75-45. Molly Burdick reached the 1,000 career point milestone in the game with a double-double. The Wildcats are now 6-2 this season. 

 

MILESTONE GAME: 

Not only did SUNY Poly junior Molly Burdick pass a huge career milestone in the game; reaching the 1,000 career point mark; she also set a new career-high with 29 points in the game. Burdick also extended her double-double streak to seven consecutive games with a 10 rebound performance. Burdick is the 11th Wildcat in program history to score 1,000 points at SUNY Poly. 

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: 

  • Molly Burdick had a career-high 29 points, 10 rebounds, four steals, five assists, and a block in the game. She surpassed the 1,000 career point mark on a layup with 4:51 left in the game. 

  • Lauren Denny had 12 points, 11 rebound double-double for the Wildcats. She shot 66% from the field and a game-high eight assists and a game-high six steals. 

  • Kierra Connor had 10 points, three rebounds, and two blocks for Poly. 

  • Arrianna Henry had 11 points, six rebounds, two steals, and three assists for Cazenovia. 

  • Fiona Hunt had 10 points for Cazenovia. 

 

UP NEXT: 

The Wildcats will host the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons on Sunday, December 12th at the Campus Center Gym. Tip-off is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
