  • WBB: Wildcats to Play Tufts in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats are heading to the NCAA Championship Tournament for the fourth time in five seasons after earning the North Eastern Athletic Conference’s auto-qualifying bid. The NEAC Champion Wildcats found out on Monday that they had been matched up with the #1 Nationally Ranked Tufts University Jumbos. The matchup with the Jumbos will be the Wildcats second of the 2019-20 season. 
  • WBB: Wildcats Win Fourth NEAC Title in Five Seasons, 71-58 Over Morrisville

    MARCY, N.Y. - For the fourth time in five seasons, the Wildcats are the NEAC Women’s Basketball Champions. The Wildcats entered the game undefeated in conference play and kept their spotless record with a convincing win in the Championship game. The Wildcat defense was stifling, allowing just 23 points in the first half to the Morrisville State Mustangs. The Wildcats also dominated on the glass and in the paint to earn the win. The final score of the game was 71-58. The Wildcats will now await their seeding in the NCAA Tournament. The DIII Selection Show will take place on Monday, March 2nd at 2:30 PM.
  • WBB: Four Wildcats Earn NEAC All-Conference Selections.

    LATHAM, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2019-20 Women’s Basketball All-Conference selections, honoring the top 18 players in the league regardless of position. The First, Second and Third Team are each comprised of six players as selected by the conference coaches. The three individual award winners are also determined by coaches’ votes. Wildcats Molly Burdick (Johnson City, N.Y.) and Jaida Washington (Elmira, N.Y.) were named to the First Team. Taylor Aybar (Woodside, N.Y.) and Kiersten Leos (North Bay, N.Y.) were Second Team selections.
  • WBB: Wildcats Advance to NEAC Championship With Win Over Berks.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team is heading to their fifth consecutive NEAC Championship Game after beating Penn State Berks on Saturday 87-73 in the first of two Semifinal games at SUNY Poly. The Wildcats will face off with Morrisville State in the NEAC Championship Game after the Mustangs took down the Lancaster Bible Chargers in the second NEAC Semifinal. The winner of Sundays Championship will receive the NEAC’s bid to the NCAA Tournament.
  • WBB: Wildcat Win Streak Alive and Well at 14 Games.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team stayed undefeated in conference play with a win against Lancaster Bible on Saturday. The Wildcats got off to a fast start and never looked back building up 42-27 lead at the half. After the break, the Wildcats kept control of the game to finish up a 81-52 win.
  • WBB: Washington Scores Her 1,000th Point in Wildcat Win Over Penn College.

    WILLIAMSPORT, P.A. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team won their thirteenth conference game of the season on the road at Penn College. Poly came out of the gate hot starting the game with a 10-2 run and went into the locker room with a 39-25 advantage. They would continue their success in the third quarter outscoring Penn College 22-12. In the end, SUNY Poly would take the game 71-53.
  • WBB: Wildcats Stay Undefeated in NEAC with Win at Keuka

    KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team won their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game over the Keuka College Wolves on Wednesday. The win puts them at 12-0 in conference play. The Wildcats got off to a hot start leading at the end of the first quarter 19-9. Keuka came back to tie the game 27-27 going into the half. In the second half, the Wildcats came out and ran away with the game outscoring the Wolves 46-21 to win by 25. The final score was 73-48.
  • WBB: Wildcat Win Streak Extended to Nine Games With Win Over Morrisville State.

    MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team won their ninth consecutive game and 10th North Eastern Athletic Conference game on Wednesday 78-43 over Morrisville State. The Wildcat defense held the Mustangs to 22% shooting from the floor and 18% from three-point range in the game, holding all but one Morrisville player to single-digit scoring totals. The Wildcats are now 12-7 this season with a 10-0 record in NEAC play.
  • WBB: Wildcat Win Streak at Eight After Big Win at Home.

    MARCY, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team won big against Cazenovia College to extend their Northeastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) winning streak to eight games. SUNY Poly took control of the game in the first quarter did not give in at all for the remainder of regulation. They would end up winning by a final score of 89-41.
  • WBB: Wildcats Stay Undefeated in NEAC Play.

    MARCY, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team won big against the Keuka College Wolves on Saturday. The game was a defensive and physical one and the Wildcats were able to win a hard-fought 65-46 victory.  The Wildcats had three players in double figures lead by junior Jadia Washington (Elmira, N.Y.) with a big performance in conference play.
  • WBB: Wildcats Stay Undefeated in NEAC Play With Win at Cobleskill.

    COBLESKILL, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team won a key North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game on the road at Cobleskill. The Wildcats got down in the first quarter 19-15. They turned it on defensively holding Cobleskill to 15 points in the second and third quarters combined. That defensive push would be enough to top the Fighting Tigers. The final score was 68-51.
  • WBB: Wildcats Earn a Convincing Win Over Morrisville State at Home.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team improved their season record to 7-7 on Saturday with a big win over Morrisville 80-54. The Wildcats came out of the gate hot, scoring 10 unanswered points in the first four minutes of the game. The Wildcats would build their lead to a high point of 26 points in the fourth quarter en route to their fifth consecutive conference win.
  • WBB: Wildcats Earn First NEAC North Division at Cazenovia.

    CAZENOVIA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team rattled off their third consecutive North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win on Wednesday at Cazenovia 63-58. SUNY Poly and Cazenovia played a tightly contested game that saw six ties and four lead changes. The first quarter saw both of the largest leads of the game with Cazenovia going up five points early and SUNY Poly taking a seven-point lead late in the quarter. The rest of the game was a battle as neither team could carve out a distinctive edge. The win brings the Wildcat season record to 6-7 (4-0 NEAC). Cazenovia’s loss has them at 3-10 with a 1-3 NEAC record.
  • WBB: Wildcats Stay Undefeated in NEAC Play With 72-59 Win at Abington.

    ABINGTON, Pa. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team improved to 3-0 in NEAC play with Saturday’s win over Penn State Abington. The Wildcats jumped out to an early 10 point lead in the first quarter behind a seven-point quarter by Taylor Ann Day (). The second and third quarter was tightly played with Abington fighting back to take the lead late in the third. The Wildcats put the game away in the forth with a dominating 15 point advantage in the quarter. The final score was 72-59. The Wildcats are now 5-7 with a 3-0 NEAC record.
  • WBB: Wildcats Improve to 2-0 in NEAC Play With Win at Harrisburg.

    HARRISBURG, Pa. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team improved their record to 4-7 on Saturday with a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win against the Penn State Harrisburg Nittany Lions 67-55. The Wildcats jumped out to an early nine-point lead in the first and continued to build the lead. The ‘Cats led by as many as 26 points late in the third. The win improves the Wildcats record to 2-0 in NEAC play. The Nittany Lions are now 3-8 with a 1-1 NEAC record. 
  • WBB: Wildcats Travel South For Tripp Sports Cruzin Classic.

    FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team headed south for their semi-annual winter break trip. This season, the women headed to Ft. Lauderdale to take part in the Cruzin Classic. In their first game, the Wildcats were matched up with the Hastings College Broncos. The Wildcats struggled right out of the gate, getting outscored 24-6 in the first quarter. And ultimately losing 70-49. In the second game the Wildcats also suffered a loss 73-69 at the hands of Johnson & Wales.
  • WBB: Pair of Double-Doubles Powers Wildcats to First NEAC Win.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team got off to a good start in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play with a convincing win over Penn State Berks. After getting off to a slow start the Wildcats gained control ending the first quarter up by five. In the second they would start to get some separation going into the break leading 39-25. Berks would come out of the half hot to fight their way back into the game cutting the Wildcat lead to seven. Then the Wildcats would make one final push, controlling the fourth quarter and winning the game by a final score of 69-50.
  • WBB: Big Performances by Washington and Aybar Help Wildcats to a 10-Point Win Over Utica College.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team hosted cross-town rival Utica College on Wednesday night. The Wildcats got behind in early, but a big run in the second quarter gave them a lead which they held for the entire second half. With the 70-60 win, the Wildcats are now 2-2 this season. Utica is 5-2.
  • WBB: Wildcats Top Purchase For First Win of the Season.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball won their first game against the Purchase College Panthers by a score of 61-47. The Wildcats offense played their strongest game of the year they shot 37% from the field but only 15% from three and made 11-15 free throws. Purchase falls to 0-4 on the season while the Wildcats improve to 1-2.
  • WBB: Wildcats Fall to Hamilton in Cardinal Classic Opener.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball lost to the Hamilton College Continentals on Friday in the opening game of the Cardinal Classic by a score of 59-48. The Wildcats struggled offensively shooting 37% from the field and 25% from three. The Continentals improved their season record to 2-0 with the win while the Wildcats fall to 0-2.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball was beaten by Hamilton on Tuesday in their home opener by a score of 85-39. The Wildcats struggled to get anything going on offense in the game shooting just 28% from the floor. The Continentals improved their season record to 2-0 with the win while the Wildcats fall to 0-1.
