WBB: Jackson Scores 1,000th Point in Wildcat Quarterfinal Win.

MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women's basketball team (20-6) convincingly beat Cazenovia (10-15) on Tuesday in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) quarterfinals. The Wildcats went up by 13 in the first quarter and never looked back. The final score of the game was 88-63.

Entering tonight's game, Khristaijah Jackson (Levittown, Pa.) was just two points shy of 1,000 in her Wildcat career. She hit the first shot that she took, becoming the seventh Wildcat in program history to reach the milestone. She finished the game with her ninth double-double tallying 20 points and 12 rebounds. Jackson also had three assists, two steals, and a block.

Kiersten Leos (Camden, N.Y.) scored a game high 21 points in the game. The sophomore shot 60 percent from behind the arc and had five assists and two steals.

Shannon Harrison (Holland Patent, N.Y.) had 11 points for the Wildcats. Harrison, who played 29 minutes off the bench, had four rebounds and an assist.

Rylie Smith (St. Johnsville, N.Y.) and Taylor Aybar (Woodside, N.Y.) had eight points each in the game. Smith knocked down two three-pointers and pulled in eight rebounds. Aybar had a game high eight assists in just 16 minutes of play and knocked down both of the shots she took from behind the arc.

Cazenovia's Skylar Girard had a team high 16 points in the game. Morgan DeLand had 15 points, five rebounds, and four steals. Danielle Ciavana scored 14 points.

The Wildcats will host the NEAC Final Four this weekend at SUNY Poly's Campus Center Gym. The Cats' will match up with Penn State Abington in the opening game of the tournament at 2:00 PM on Saturday. That game will be followed by the second semifinal game between Keuka and Gallaudet at 4:00 PM. The Championship game will be played at 2:00 PM on Sunday. All of the games will be streamed in high definition on WildcatTV.
