WBB: Wildcats Win First NCAA Tournament Game in Program History 80-72 Over Eastern Connecticut State.March 03, 2017SCRANTON, PA. – The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team is moving on to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament after an 80-72 win over the Eastern Connecticut State Warriors. The Wildcats win is the first NCAA Tournament win for any women’s program in the history of SUNY Poly Athletics.

Stevie Ray Named Tournament MVP.February 26, 2017MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team are the North Eastern Athletic Conference Champions for the second time in as many years. The Wildcats won Sunday’s Championship game in convincing fashion, defeating Morrisville State 74-47. The Championship Title earns the Wildcats the right to represent the NEAC in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

WBB: Wildcats Advance to NEAC Championship With Convincing 78-50 Win Over St. Elizabeth.February 25, 2017MARCY, N.Y. - The number one seeded SUNY Poly women’s basketball team earned a spot in the NEAC Championship game on Sunday with a big win over St. Elizabeth 78-50. With the win, the Wildcats will make their second consecutive appearance in the NEAC title game. The Wildcats opponent will be the Morrisville State Mustangs who beat Lancaster Bible in the second semifinal 60-50.

Ray and Jackson Both Earn First Team All-Conference.February 23, 2017GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced the men’s basketball All-Conference Team selections and the Individual Award winners for the 2016-17 season. SUNY Poly’s Stevie Ray (Syracuse, N.Y.) was named the NEAC Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference. Khristaijah Jackson (Levittown, Pa.) was also voted First Team All-Conference.

WBB: Wildcats Finish Regular Season With a 50 Point Win Over Berks on Senior Day.February 18, 2017MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team celebrated senior day on Saturday against Penn State Berks. The Wildcats four seniors were honored before the game with a short ceremony. In the game, the Wildcats dominated the Nittany Lions 112-62 to finish out the regular season with a program best 23-2 record.

The game had serious implications for the two teams. Win and host the NEAC Championship, lose and travel to play in the post season. The Wildcats came in ready for the game of the year.

The Wildcats shot nearly 50 percent in the game and more than doubled the number of rebounds of their opponent.
