    MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The historical run for the Wildcats ended on Friday with a bang as the Wildcats fell to the Red Hawks of Montclair State in a hard fought, physical game. The two teams come from very different backgrounds. The Wildcats; a newcomer to the NCAA Tournament having never earned a trip to the show, and the Red Hawks a seasoned NCAA Tournament competitor having reached the dance every year since 2013, culminating in a Final Four appearance last year.

    MARCY, N.Y. - With the win by the Wildcats in the NEAC Championship tournament, the team secured a bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. The Wildcats are matched up with Montclair State, the host of the first and second round of the tournament. The first game for the Wildcats is scheduled for 7:00 PM in Montclair New Jersey.

    LANCASTER, PA. – The SUNY Poly women’s basketball has won its first NEAC Championship in program history, earning them their first ever trip to the NCAA DIII Championship Tournament. The Wildcats had to beat the first place Lancaster Bible Chargers for the opportunity, and they did so with some late game heroics. The final score was 69-65.

    GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The NEAC announced the All-Conference Teams on Thursday. Three Wildcats were selected to the All-Conference Second Team; Geena Gallo (Ballston Spa, N.Y. / Ballston Spa HS), Lauren Knowles (Salisbury Mills, N.Y. / Washingtonville HS), and Stevie Ray (Syracuse, N.Y. / Fabius-Pompey HS).
  • WBB: SUNY Poly Defeats Penn State Abington 78-66 to Advance to the NEAC Final Four

    MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women’s basketball met up with Penn State Abington on Tuesday. The game; a rematch from last year’s NEAC semi-final; ended with the Wildcats getting their revenge on the Nittany Lions for ending their season just a year ago. The final score of the game was 78-66. Despite the 12 point margin of victory, Abington clawed their way back within striking distance on a few occasions during the contest, but could not hold down the Wildcat offense that shot nearly 52% from the field.
  • WBB: Wildcats Win at Berks 79-43 to Improve to 15-1 in the NEAC.

    READING, PA. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team defeated Penn State Berks on Saturday 79-43. The Wildcats got off to their typical fast start, jumping out to a 20-8 lead in the first quarter. The lead would stay in the possession of the Wildcats, who would finish out the game with the 79-43 win.
  • WBB: Wildcats Suffer First NEAC Loss of the Season at the Hands of Lancaster Bible.

    LANCASTER, PA - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team lost their first NEAC Conference game of the season on Friday to Lancaster Bible 78-69. The women showed a ton of heart and determination to fight all the way back from a 21 point halftime deficit to make the game interesting. The Wildcats got within two points of Lancaster with just five minutes remaining, but after some costly turnovers would ultimately come up short.
  • WBB: Charbonneau and Knowles Record Double-Doubles to Beat Cazenovia 82-63.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team hosted Cazenovia this Wednesday for SUNY Poly’s senior day. Before the game SUNY Poly honored the two 1000 point scorers; Geena Gallo (Ballston Spa, N.Y. / Ballston Spa HS) and Lauren Knowles (Salisbury Mills, N.Y. / Washingtonville HS) with a trophy to honor their achievement. The Wildcats also honored the teams five seniors Emily Alicea (Mohegan Lake, N.Y. / Lakeland HS), Geena Gallo, Lauren Knowles, Erika Charbonneau (Boonville, N.Y. / Adirondack HS), and Laura Kaczmarczyk (Endicott, N.Y. / Union Endicott HS) with a short ceremony. After the ceremony, the Wildcats went right to business, their sights set on a win over Cazenovia. SUNY Poly made a statement in the first quarter by going up by 21 after a 30 point quarter. The lead would hold and SUNY Poly would end up with a 82-63 win to stay undefeated in NEAC play.
  • WBB: Lauren Knowles Scores her 1000th Career Point in Wildcats Win Over Bryn Athyn.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team continued their winning streak on Sunday with a 10 point win over Bryn Athyn 80-70. The Wildcats took the lead late in the second quarter on some clutch shooting, however the defense was the story of the game as they forced 21 turnovers, recording 12 steals, and swatting down six shots in the game. The game turned out to be a momentous occasion for one of its seniors as she became the second Wildcat this season to join the 1000 career point club.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball got the revenge they were looking for against Penn State Abington; the team that ended their NEAC Playoff run just a season ago. The Wildcats did it in fashion, letting their game do the talking. The team got out to a big lead early by playing efficient offence and lockdown defense. The Wildcats held the Nittany Lions to single digit scoring in all four quarters, allowing just 28 points in the game. The Wildcat offence exploded for 82 points in the game including 30 in the first quarter and 27 in the second. The final score was 82-28.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team hosted Morrisville State on Wednesday in a NEAC Divisional match-up. The first place Wildcats came into the game looking to make a statement, and boy did they make one. After a close first quarter, the Wildcats went on a tear against the second place Mustangs; outscoring them by 28 points down the stretch to finish off the 32 point win 70-38.
  • WBB: Gallo Scores Her 1000th Point in Wildcat Win Over St. Elizabeth.

    MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team traveled to New Jersey on Sunday to take on St Elizabeth in a NEAC Conference game. The game was not only won by SUNY Poly 71-54, it carried great importance for senior forward Geena Gallo (Ballston Spa, N.Y. / Ballston Spa HS) who scored her 1000th career point in the third minute of the first quarter. The SUNY Poly community would like to congratulate Geena for joining an elite group of 1000 point scorers at SUNY Poly.

    COBLESKILL, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team earned their ninth consecutive NEAC win of the season on the road at Cobleskill on Saturday. The women took the lead on the first shot of the game and never looked back. The Wildcats never conceded the lead to the Fighting Tigers ultimately ending up with a 68-60 win.

    CAZENOVIA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball earned their eighth consecutive NEAC Conference win on Wednesday when they traveled to Cazenovia. Caz jumped out to a three point lead in the first quarter, but Poly would battle back to go into the locker room at halftime with a seven point edge. The lead would hold for the Wildcats as they finished off the game with a 10 point win 77-67.
  • WBB: Stevie Ray's 19 Points Lead the Wildcats to a Win at Penn College.

    WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team took on Penn College in a NEAC Conference matchup on Sunday that ended with a big 77-54 win for SUNY Poly. The Wildcats got off to a strong start, scoring 55 points in the first half and holding Penn College to just 24 points.

    MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s basketball team traveled to Morrisville on Wednesday for a NEAC Conference matchup with division rival Morrisville State. The Wildcats managed to secure their sixth NEAC win by a slim four point margin. The final score was SUNY Poly 55, Morrisville 51.
