MXC: Wildcats Finish 17th at NCAA DIII Niagara Regional.

GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's cross country team placed 17th at the NCAA DIII Niagara Regional Race on Saturday. The race was hosted by SUNY Geneseo at the National Warplane Museum. The Wildcats scored 498 points, led by an 81st place finish by Jake Baisley. SUNY Geneseo dominated the regional, finishing with a team score of 28, 94 points lower than the second-place finisher. 

 

Jake Baisley was the Wildcat's top finisher. He ran the 8K course in 27:52.4 to finish 81st. Devon McClendon and Garrett Jones scored 94 and 99 respectively. McClendon finished with a time of 28:22.0. Jones finished the 8K in 28:30.7. The regional race's winner was SUNY Cortland's, Ryan Cory. He finished with a time of 25:27.7. Geneseo, the team winner had their top-5 runners place 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th.
