MVB: A.J. Davids Named NEAC Player of the Week After a 34 Kill Week.

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – SUNY Poly men's volleyball player A.J. Davids (Hilton, N.Y.) has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of March 21st - 27th. An excerpt from the NEAC press release announcing this week's award winners can be found below. 

"A.J. Davids (Hilton, N.Y.) has been named the NEAC Men's Volleyball Player of the Week after an excellent performance for the SUNY Polytechnic Institute Wildcats. The senior tallied 34 kills offensively while adding 11 digs and six blocks (2 solo) on defense across a pair of matches for the Wildcats, which included a conference win.  Davids started the week with a match-high 20 kills alongside six digs and three blocks in a five-set battle with Cal Lutheran last Monday.  He then recorded a team-best 17 points in a big 3-1 conference road win over Wells Thursday, as he finished with 14 kills on a .313 hitting percentage to go with an ace, an assist, five digs and three blocks.  Davids has now smacked a NEAC-most 336 kills along with compiling the second-most points (390) in the conference for the Wildcats, who improved to 11-4 in the NEAC and 18-10 overall."
