MVB: Wildcats Earn Sixth NEAC Win Over Wells 3-0.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball team hosted the Wells College Express on Tuesday for a NEAC Conference matchup. The Wildcats won in straight sets (25-20, 25-22, 25-21) over the Express thanks to some great hitting by the Wildcats who hit .352 as a team. While all the matches were close between the two teams, the Wildcats had a clear edge statistically. SUNY Poly registered 52 kills to the Express's 33, and took 30 more swings on the offensive.

SUNY Poly's A.J. Davids (Hilton, N.Y.) led the way for the Wildcats, hitting a solid .364. He recorded a game high 17 kills on 33 attempts. Sophomore setter Zach Goggin (Feeding Hills, Mass.) had 41 assists in the match. This marks the seventh time this season that Goggin has surpassed the 40 assist mark.
Freshman Ryan Gloff (Brockport, N.Y.) continued his hot streak with an outstanding .480 hitting percentage on 25 attempts. He recorded 14 kills, two service aces, and two digs in the match. 

For the Express, Liam Kaylor (Falls Church, Va.) had a team high 11 kills and hit .500. Derek Nips (Turnersville, N.J.) had 29 assists, two kills, and two digs. 

The Wildcats improve to 12-6 on the season and secure another conference win, putting their NEAC record at 6-1. The Wildcats will be back in action on Saturday, March 5th when they will travel to Keuka College for a single match. The match is scheduled for a 12:00 PM start.
