Wakeley Banker Receives SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence.
May 02, 2023UTICA, NY - SUNY Poly men's soccer player Wakeley Banker received the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence last week. He was one of two SUNY Poly students to earn the honor and he is the second SUNY Poly student-athlete in as many years to earn the most prestigious student awards in the SUNY system. -

November 03, 2022WATERVILLE, Maine - The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) released the 2022 men's soccer post-season awards on Wednesday. The Wildcats took home three of the top individual awards and had five players voted to All-Conference teams. Abus Mohamed-Ali was voted the NAC Player of the Year. Wakeley Banker was voted the NAC Defensive Player of the Year and the NAC Senior Scholar-Athlete.

MSOC: Wildcats Lose a Heartbreaker to SUNY Delhi in NAC West Championship 1-0.
October 30, 2022MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s soccer team lost in the NAC West Championship on Sunday 1-0 to the SUNY Delhi Broncos. Both defensive units played great in the game, limiting offensive opportunities, leading to a low-scoring match. The Wildcats allowed the game’s only goal in the 67th minute. With the heartbreaking loss, the Wildcat's season comes to an end just one game short of a berth in the NAC Championship.

MSOC: Wildcats Beat Cobleskill 6-1 to Advance to the NAC West Championship Game.
October 29, 2022MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcat men’s soccer team took down the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers on Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship Tournament. The Wildcats won the game handily, 6-1, scoring two goals in the first half and four in the second half. The Wildcats will now advance to the West Division Championship game on Sunday, October 30th at SUNY Poly. SUNY Poly will face SUNY Delhi, the winners of the second West Division quarterfinal game.

MSOC: Wildcats Set to Host NAC West Division Semifinal and Quarterfinal Rounds.
October 28, 2022MARCY, N.Y. - After earning the #1 seed in the West Division of the North Atlantic Conference during the regular season, the SUNY Poly men’s soccer team earned the right to host the first two rounds of Divisional postseason play this weekend. SUNY Poly’s Wildcat Field will play host to three games over two days to crown the NAC West Division Champions.

MSOC: Wildcats Beaten 1-0 by Morrisville to Wrap Up Regular Season.
October 25, 2022MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s soccer team lost to Morrisville State 1-0 on Wednesday to wrap up their regular season. The Wildcats allowed the game’s only goal in the 1st minute of the game and that was the difference maker. The goal was scored on Morrisville’s only shot on goal of the game. The Wildcats had some opportunities to score, putting eight shots on goal in the game, but could not find the back of the net. The Wildcats end their 2022 regular season campaign with a 10-4-3 overall record.

MSOC: Wildcats Finish NAC Play With a 6-0 Divisional Win Over NVU-Johnson.
October 22, 2022MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s soccer team finished up their 2022 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) schedule on Saturday with a convincing 6-0 win over the NVU-Johnson Badgers. The Wildcats had six different goal-scorers in the game. The win helps the Wildcats clinch the NAC West Division Regular Season Title with a 5-0 record in divisional play. SUNY Poly is now 10-3-3 this season with a 7-0-2 conference record.

MSOC: Wildcats Earn Important NAC West Win Over SUNY Delhi 3-1
October 15, 2022DELHI, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats entered into Saturday’s game at SUNY Delhi needing a win over the Broncos to take sole possession of first place in the NAC West Division. They got exactly what they hoped for, earning a 3-1 win on the road to improve to 4-0 in divisional play. The Broncos are now 3-1 in West Division play and are in second place.

October 12, 2022MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s soccer team earned their eighth win of the season on Wednesday night 4-1 over SUNY Canton. The win over the Roos was the Wildcat's fifth North Atlantic Conference win of the season and their third in divisional play. They are now 8-3-3 overall with a 5-0-2 NAC record.

October 09, 2022MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s soccer team defeated NVU-Lyndon on Sunday afternoon 8-0. Seven different Wildcats would score goals which would be a season high. Wakeley Banker would have the lone two goal game for the Wildcats, his second multi-goal game of the season. With the win, the Wildcats move to 7-3-3 on the season and 4-0-2 in North Atlantic Conference play.

The game was weighted one way offensively, with the Gators recording seven shots on goal to the Wildcats one, but solid goalkeeping and back line play earned the Wildcats their third tie of the season. Both teams are now 5-3-3 overall this season.

September 28, 2022BRADFORD, Pa. - The SUNY Poly men’s soccer dominated the second half of their non-conference matchup with the Pitt.-Bradford Panthers on Wednesday night, scoring four goals in the second half of a 4-0 win. The Wildcat offense exploded to score all four goals in the game in a 15-minute span. The Wildcats are now 4-3-2 this season. Edward Greene and Wakeley Banker had big performances for SUNY Poly. Greene had five points on a pair of goals and an assist. Banker had two goals.

September 17, 2022MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s soccer team got their first North Atlantic Conference (NAC) win of the season on Saturday 3-2 over Cazenovia College. Four of the five goals in the game were scored in the first half. The game-winning goal was scored in the 85th minute by Thomas Tytler. The Wildcats are now 3-2 this season with a 1-0 record in NAC Play.

MSOC: Three Second Half Goals Lift Wildcats to a 4-3 Win Over Utica University.
September 10, 2022MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s soccer team earned a quality win over local rival Utica University on Saturday. The Wildcats went up 3-0 midway through the first half on goals from Christian Toma and Edgar Gomez. Utica fought hard at the end of the game, clawing their way back into contention with three late goals to make it a tight game, but a late goal by Cole Wright sealed the deal. The Wildcats did a solid job in the closing minutes to run out the clock to earn their second win over Utica in as many years. The final score was 4-3. The Wildcats are now 2-1 this season.

SUNY Poly went down 1-0 late in the first half but bounced right back in the second half with three goals in a seven-minute span. The Wildcats are now 1-1 overall this season. The loss for Nazareth was their first this season. They are now 2-1.

September 01, 2022WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Wildcat men’s soccer team opened their 2022 season on Thursday night on the road, losing a close game 1-0 to the University of St. Joseph Blue Jays. The lone goal of the game was scored in the closing minutes of the first half, but the Blue Jay's offensive unit had a significant edge in volume shooting that ultimately led to their one goal in the game. The Wildcats are now 0-1 this season. The Blue Jays are 1-0.

August 08, 2022MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer schedule for the 2022 season has been officially released. The reigning NAC Champion Wildcats will start their season on the road at Saint Joseph (Conn.) on Thursday, September 1st.
