MSOC: SUNY Poly Shut Out in a Close Game With Cross-Town Rival Hamilton.

CLINTON, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Men's Soccer team lost to local rival Hamilton College on Tuesday by a score of 1-0. The lone goal of the match was scored by Hamilton in the 55th minute. The Wildcats fall to 4-5-3 on the season with the loss.

NOTABLES:

  • Matt Casadei scored the only goal of the game for the Continentals. Jeff Plump was credited with the assist on the play.
  • Nathan Laughlin (Cohoes, N.Y.) recorded nine saves for SUNY Poly.
  • As a team, the Wildcats took eight shots, with just one shot on goal. Hamilton took 23 shots on the game, with 10 shots on goal.

SUNY Poly will look to bounce back on Saturday October 13th, as they take on NEAC foe Lancaster Bible at 3:15pm in Lancaster, Pa. The Chargers are currently ranked fourth in the NEAC with a conference record of 4-2, and an overall record of 5-6-1.
