MSOC: Joseph Nets Three in Wildcat Win Over Cobleskill.

COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men's soccer team finished their 2016 regular season with a 5-1 win over Cobleskill on Saturday to secure a playoff spot in the upcoming NEAC Championship Tournament. The Wildcats will now take on Penn State Abington in the NEAC Quarter Finals on Tuesday.

The Wildcats were led by some outstanding free kick work by junior midfielder Zach Joseph (Oneonta, N.Y.) who had not just his first goal of the season, but his first three! Joseph scored all three goals unanswered to give the Wildcats a 3-0 lead. All three of his goals were unassisted off of free kicks. The three goals bring his career total to four goals.

Vincent Seruhungu (Syracuse, N.Y.) joined the scoring party in the 60th minute of play on an unassisted goal. It was his third of the 2016 season.

Cobleskill would answer back with a goal of their own in the 61st minute by Boubacar Doucoure on an 18 yard snipe shot.

The Wildcats would finish out the game with another score on a blast from just inside the 18 yard box that beat the goal keeper from Daniel Riley (London, England). The goal was his fourth of the season, all of which have been in NEAC Conference games.

With the win the Wildcats finish their season with an 8-11 overall record and an 8-5 record in NEAC play. The Wildcats will hit the road to play Penn State Abington in the NEAC Quarter Finals. The game is tentatively scheduled for a 2:00 PM start.
