MSOC: Wildcats Win In Blow Out Fashion 7-0, Extending Win Streak to Five.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team won on Saturday against SUNY Cobleskill in blowout fashion 7-0. The game was all Wildcats from the very start. The first goal for the 'Cats came in the first minute of play and they never looked back scoring a total of five goals in the first half and two in the second.

Junior Emir Selmovic (Utica, N.Y. / Thomas R. Proctor HS) scored two goals in the game, his second and third of the season. Bazo Coulibaly (Bronx, N.Y. / Marble Hill HS) set the table for the Wildcats, recording three assists in the game. Grant Calogero (Utica, N.Y. / Notre Dame Jr./Sr.) recorded a goal and an assist for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats put an overwhelming 16 shots on goal against the weak Cobleskill defense. Six of the seven goals by the Wildcats came off of assists. Mingoro Fanny (Bronx, N.Y. / B.E.T.A) saved all four shots he faced to record a shutout.

The Wildcats extended their win streak and shutout streak to five a piece. With the victory, the Wildcats are now 7-4-1 (4-2 NEAC) on the season. The team will have this upcoming off. They will resume play next Saturday when they travel to Wells to take on the Express in a NEAC Conference matchup.
