MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team hosted Morrisville State on Sunday. The game was the Wildcats first conference home game. Unfortunately it didn't go as planned for the Wildcats; they were defeated 1-0 in regulation.

The lone goal of the game was scored by Morrisvilles Jamieson McKoy in the 55th minute of play.

Wildcat Goal Keeper Jess Yanarella () played a very solid game recording nine saves on 10 shots. Unfortunately his play wasn't enough to secure a victory. The Wildcats offense stumbled a bit in the game as they only recorded two shots on goal out of nine total shots. For perspective, the opposition put 10 shots on goal out of 24 total shots.

The loss puts SUNY Poly's record at 2-4-1 on the year (0-2 NEAC). The Wildcats have a week off to re-gather themselves after the tough weekend. They will be back in action next Saturday when they travel to Penn College for their third NEAC game of the year. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 start.
