MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Men's soccer team lost to Hamilton College 1-0 in their first home game of the young 2015 season. Despite some good defense from the Wildcats and solid play in goal; the Continentals were able to net the winning goal midway through the second half.

In the first half, neither team seemed to be able to get any offense going. Between the two teams only one shot on goal was registered.

The offensive opportunities started to pick up for both sides in the second half as each team was able to get some good looks at the net. Jess Yanarella (Wappingers Falls, N.Y. / Ketcham HS) had a solid game in goal for the Wildcats registering four saves. However the lone ball that got by was enough to secure the victory for Hamilton.

The Wildcats Luke Bogar (New Hartford, N.Y. / New Hartford HS) played some great, physical defense. He stopped the Continentals in their tracks multiple times on plays that could have easily turned into goals. His effort helped to keep the Wildcats in the hunt for the victory.

Hamilton's lone goal was scored by Jack Temko off of an assist by Alec Talsania in the 62nd minute.

With the loss the Wildcats record falls to 2-2-1. The team will be back in action on Saturday, September 19th when they travel to Cazenovia for their first NEAC Conference matchup. Game is scheduled for a 1:00 PM start.
