Four Wildcats Named to Men’s Soccer All-NEAC Teams

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The SUNY Polytechnic Men's Soccer Team had four players named to the NEAC All-Conference List on Wednesday. For three of the four players it was their first all-conference selection.

Headlining the group was senior Ben Toach (New Hartford, N.Y. / New Hartford). The strong-footed defender was named to the All-NEAC 2nd Team, his first all-conference selection. Toach tallied 3 goals and 3 assists on the season, and was a team co-captain.

The other three Wildcat selections appeared on the All-NEAC 3rd Team. Nick McBride (Rotterdam, N.Y. / Mohonasen) and Cameron Prime (Norwich, N.Y. / Norwich) both earned their first selections. Prime was a versatile defender for the Wildcats who contributed strongly on throw-ins and set-pieces, while McBride led the Wildcats with 6 goals out of the midfield.

Joining McBride and Prime on the third team was senior and team co-captain Brett Gruener (Ballston Spa, N.Y. / Ballston Spa). Gruener, a two-year transfer playing defense, was named to the All-NEAC 1st Team last year, and was also one of three Wildcat athletes to receive the SUNY Chancellor's Scholar Athlete Award.
