MARCY, N.Y. – After a pair of shutouts last week, the SUNYIT Men's Soccer Team (10-1-1, 6-1 NEAC) shot up to a first-place tie with the University of Texas at Dallas for the highest save percentage in Division III. Both teams boast a save percentage of .911.

SUNYIT's main stopper Malick Faye (Bronx, N.Y. / MLK), who has played all but 22 minutes and 16 seconds of the SUNYIT season between the posts, also moved up from 7^th last week to 3^rd in the national rankings in save percentage with a mark of .927. The senior keeper, who may be having the best year of what has already been a highly-decorated career, is also 3^rd nationally in goals-against average, surrendering a paltry .334 scores per game.

Not surprisingly, Faye was named the NEAC Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
