Men’s Soccer Wins 2-0 Over Cazenovia

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – The SUNYIT Men's Soccer Team (7-1-1, 4-1 NEAC) picked up another conference win on Wednesday night, besting Cazenovia in the "Battle of the Wildcats" by a score of 2-0.

Kurreem Williams scored SUNYIT's first goal 17 minutes and 42 seconds into the contest. The unassisted score gives Williams 4 goals on the year, good for second on the team behind Diego Montaleza.

The visiting Wildcats held strong on defense, surrendering just 8 shots to Cazenovia while SUNYIT themselves registered 18. Malick Faye made 5 saves while Cazenovia goalie Andrew Schulz made 8.

In the 80th minute Luke Bogar gave SUNYIT some breathing room, netting his first goal of the year on an unassisted play.

SUNYIT will return to the pitch this Saturday, as they host NEAC foe SUNY Cobleskill in a 12:00 pm match-up.
